Welcome to Basingstoke Bluefins Masters Swimming Club

The club is based at Basingstoke’s Aquadrome Pool, one of the best swimming facilities in the north of Hampshire. Basingstoke Bluefins Masters are the current 2011 Hampshire Masters Cup holder. The team were also awarded the Senior Team trophy in the 2010 and the 2011 Basingstoke & Deane Sports Awards.

British Masters and Seniors Long Course National Championships We had four swimmers at the meet and with some great times and medal positions. Apparently Fleur set a GB record in the 50m freestyle, but unfortunately her new record was then broken in the final heat of the event. Bluefins at the Swimathon 2012 Two Bluefins members were taking part in the 5k individual challenge for charity in this year's Swimathon Weekend. Neil Mitchell surpirised himself (and fellow Bluefins members watching and pacing from the poolside) with a personal best time of 1:12.27, beating his previous best time set when he was in his twenties! Success at the Royal Navy Masters 11th Open 2012 The Bluefins armada gains 5th place at the Royal Navy Masters Open 2012. Awarded top age group swimmer, Fleur also managed to set 4 meet records and 4 club records in the process. Not quite as impressive saw Spencer also receive top age group swimmer and set 4 club records. More 1st places, PB's and RPB's (recent personal bests) were achieved by all. Hampshire Masters Cup Gazette Feature Basingstoke Bluefins Masters were crowned Hampshire team champions for the second year running at Waterlooville recently. In total 27 Bluefins Masters swimmers competed at the Hampshire County Championships at Waterlooville Leisure Centre. Each swim completed earned the team one point with a gold medal taking an additional three points, silver two and bronze one. Hampshire Masters Cup 2011

Congratulations to the Bluefins Masters and Seniors who competed at the County Championships yesterday (Sunday 5th June 2011). The team of 27 swimmers accumulated the most points overall meaning that Basingstoke won the Hampshire Masters Cup for the second year running.

Basingstoke ended the meet with 547 points, 220 points ahead of the nearest team, with Dave Davenport also winning the award for Top Male.
